Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Oxford
I'm looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic construction consultancy in Oxford. This is a high-profile role, offering responsibility across a wide range of projects and the chance to work directly with key clients.
What You'll Do
Take ownership of project costs from feasibility through to completion, including construction, materials, labour, plant, and professional fees
Advise on procurement strategies, tender processes, and contract arrangements
Manage post-contract activities, including valuations, progress payments, variations, and final account negotiations
Act as the main client contact, building strong, long-term relationships
Support and mentor junior team members and graduates
What They're Looking For
Degree-qualified or equivalent; MRICS preferred but not essential
Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor on diverse projects
Strong commercial awareness, with excellent negotiation and organisational skills
Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively across teams and clients
