Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) – Claims Focused
Location: London-based (with regular travel to Poole – 3 days/week)

We are a leading property developer delivering high-profile residential and mixed-use schemes across the UK. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) with strong claims experience to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
This is a key role supporting commercial and contractual aspects of major development projects. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of construction claims, cost control, and contract administration. You’ll be London-based but expected to travel to our Poole site 2–3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead the claims process, including preparation, negotiation, and defence of claims.
*
Provide strategic commercial and contractual advice to project teams and senior stakeholders.
*
Oversee procurement, contract administration, cost reporting, and change management.
*
Work closely with internal development, design, and delivery teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
*
Prepare accurate cost forecasts and risk assessments.
*
Interface with legal advisors and external consultants as required.
*
Ensure compliance with relevant contracts (JCT/NEC) and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements:
*
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in a developer or client-side role.
*
Strong claims and dispute resolution experience is essential.
*
Excellent understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk.
*
Comfortable working autonomously and reporting at a senior level.
*
Flexible to travel to Poole regularly (3/2 day split).
*
Chartered status (MRICS) is advantageous but not essential.
