Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water Infrastructure Projects
Thames Valley | £60,000-£70,000 | 6-month temp-to-perm contract
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil infrastructure?
Looking for a new opportunity with a leading contractor in the water sector?
We're working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects across the Thames Valley region. They're seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
Role Overview:
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll support the commercial and financial management of clean water infrastructure projects within a long-term framework. You'll work closely with the delivery team to ensure commercial targets are met, risks are managed, and project controls are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day administration of commercial and financial aspects of projects
Preparation of cost and value reports
Producing commercial performance dashboards
Managing procurement of subcontractors, plant, labour and materials
VOWD (Value of Work Done) forecasting and cost control
Subcontractor liaison and contract management
Requirements:
Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar - or equivalent practical experience
Experience in civil infrastructure (water/utilities experience desirable)
Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
Proactive approach to risk management and opportunity identification
