Lead, Inspire and Change Children's Lives Become a Senior Residential Support Worker at The Farmhouse and help children rebuild their futures. Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career? Do you want to work in a therapeutic environment where your leadership truly makes a difference? At The Farmhouse, our therapeutic children's home in Great Haywood, Staffordshire, we provide specialist care for up to three children aged 5–12 who have experienced significant early-life trauma. Through our unique Prep4Fostering model, we help children develop the emotional security, resilience and life skills they need to move successfully into loving, long-term foster families. This is more than a Senior role—it's an opportunity to lead by example, inspire others and become a consistent, positive influence in the lives of children who need it most. Why Join The Farmhouse? We believe that exceptional care starts with exceptional people, which is why we invest in our team. When you join us, you'll benefit from: * A small, therapeutic home where you can build meaningful relationships with children. * A trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to care. * Regular clinical support and reflective practice with our dedicated Clinical Psychologist. * A supportive leadership team that values your ideas and development. * Ongoing training and career progression opportunities. * The chance to lead shifts and help shape outstanding therapeutic care. About the Role As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, stable and nurturing home where children can recover, thrive and build brighter futures. Your responsibilities will include: * Providing high-quality therapeutic care in a warm and supportive home environment. * Supporting children with their daily routines, education, hobbies, family time and emotional wellbeing. * Helping children develop confidence, resilience and independence. * Building positive, trusting relationships that support recovery from trauma. * Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes. * Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning. As a Senior, you'll also: * Lead shifts and support the smooth day-to-day running of the home. * Mentor, guide and support Residential Support Workers. * Promote outstanding safeguarding, care standards and professional practice. * Support the management team in delivering exceptional therapeutic care. * Act as a positive role model, helping to create a culture of compassion, consistency and excellence. What We're Looking For Essential * Full UK driving licence. * Right to work in the UK. * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). * Willingness to work 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins. * Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. * A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people. * Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred therapeutic care. Desirable * Experience leading shifts within a children's residential setting. * Experience mentoring or supporting colleagues. * Knowledge of trauma-informed practice. * PRICE, Team Teach or similar behaviour management training. Is This You? We're looking for compassionate, resilient and emotionally intelligent individuals who understand the importance of building trusting, long-term relationships with children. You'll be someone who can lead with empathy, remain calm under pressure and inspire those around you to deliver the highest standards of care. If you're passionate about therapeutic childcare and want a rewarding career where your leadership changes lives every day, we'd love to hear from you.
