Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker
Locations: Chorley, PR7
Salary: £16/hour + £65 per sleep-in
Rota: 2 days on, 4 days off
Contract: Full-time (includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)

About the Role
Our client provides specialist residential care for children affected by emotional and behavioural difficulties due to neglect, abuse, or trauma. They are looking for a skilled Senior Residential Care Worker to help lead care teams and support young people in their Chorley homes.

Key Responsibilities

  * Support and safeguard young people, acting as a positive role model

  * Supervise care staff and manage daily operations

  * Plan and lead shifts, ensuring quality care delivery

  * Attend reviews and represent young people’s interests

  * Assist with recruitment, training, and staff development

  * Deputise for the Registered or Deputy Manager when needed

Requirements

  * Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)

  * Experience in residential childcare and team supervision

  * Strong knowledge of care regulations and safeguarding

  * Excellent communication and organisational skills

  * Full UK driving licence (desirable)

  * Level 4/5 qualifications or therapeutic experience (desirable)
