Job Description

Senior Residential Support Worker Salary: Up to £36,000 OTE + Sleep-ins (approx. £6,000) Recruiting on behalf of our client We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established children’s residential service. The Senior Residential Support Worker plays a central role in leading shifts, supporting staff and ensuring high-quality care for young people with complex needs. The Senior Residential Support Worker must have a minimum of two years’ experience in children’s residential care, alongside a solid understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management and professional boundaries. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker who is ready to take on a broader leadership role within a nurturing and structured environment. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading and managing shifts, overseeing daily routines, and ensuring that young people are supported emotionally, socially and practically. You will take the lead in managing incidents, guiding young people through challenging behaviours and maintaining a safe, therapeutic atmosphere within the home. The Senior Residential Support Worker will supervise and coach staff, complete management tasks delegated by the Registered Manager, monitor standards within the home and contribute to staff development. You will also support new staff through their induction, assist with key documentation and play a vital role in maintaining a consistent, child-centred approach across the team. We are seeking a confident, resilient and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker who can lead by example, uphold high standards of care and contribute positively to the home’s culture. If you have strong leadership skills, a passion for supporting young people and the ability to handle responsibility in a fast-paced setting, this Senior Residential Support Worker role will offer long-term progression and development
