Senior Residential Support Worker Location: Stockport – Hazel Grove & Offerton Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary Package: Up to £34,145 per year Basic Salary: £30,545 (includes £40 per sleep-in) Performance Bonus: Up to £3,600 per year Shift Pattern: 2 on, 4 off (10:00am starts, includes sleep-ins) About the Role: Are you ready to take the next step in your care career? We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Stockport, supporting children and young people. What You’ll Do: Support & Care: Provide high-quality, child-centred care that promotes safety, development, and emotional wellbeing. Leadership: Guide and mentor, your team, lead shifts, and support new staff through induction and training. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all care practices meet regulatory standards and internal policies. Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with young people, colleagues, and external agencies. Daily Operations: Oversee routines, manage incidents, and contribute to care planning and reviews. What We’re Looking For: Essential: * Experience working in residential childcare or similar settings. * Strong leadership and decision-making skills. * Excellent communication and organisational abilities. * Flexibility to work sleep-in shifts and follow a 2 on, 4 off pattern. * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or NVQ equivalent) * Knowledge of trauma-informed care and safeguarding practices. * A proactive, resilient, and compassionate approach to care.
