Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s EBD Home
Location: Horley, Surrey
Salary: £36,000 – £41,300 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview:
Are you a dedicated residential childcare professional looking for your next step into a leadership role? We’re working exclusively with a respected and values-led children’s residential care provider in Horley to recruit a Senior Residential Support Worker.
You’ll be joining a trauma-informed, therapeutic service that supports children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) through consistency, compassion, and structured care.

Salary & Benefits:
  * £28,200 – £33,500 base salary (depending on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:
  * Provide leadership and support to care staff during shifts
  * Deliver high-quality, therapeutic care to children with complex needs
  * Take an active role in care planning, safeguarding, and team meetings
  * Promote independence, emotional well-being, and positive routines
  * Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, child-focused culture
  * Ensure consistent implementation of behaviour support plans and safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
  * Previous experience in a residential children’s home (EBD or similar setting)
  * A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach
  * Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a small staff team
  * Working knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation (Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards)
  * Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and regular sleep-ins
  * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work toward it)
  * Minimum age 21 (due to legislative requirements)
