Salary: Up to £34,145 per year (Basic £30,545 + performance bonus up to £3,600)
Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off (includes sleep-ins)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Must drive – rural location not served by public transport

We’re hiring a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a highly supportive and child-centred team in a therapeutic 1 bedded home for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where your leadership skills and experience can have a lasting impact on a young person’s future.
This home offers a stable and consistent 2 to 1 staffing ratio, allowing for meaningful, high-quality care and the chance to develop your leadership journey in a small but strong team.
Key responsibilities:

Lead and support shifts while mentoring less experienced team members
*
Provide high-quality, therapeutic care to children with complex emotional needs
*
Act as a role model, promoting consistency, structure and emotional safety
*
Support the management team with daily operations and care planning
*
Deputise in the absence of senior management when needed
*
Attend reviews and liaise with external professionals as required
What we’re looking for:
*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
*
Experience in residential childcare, ideally with some shift-leading or senior responsibilities
*
A full UK driving licence – essential due to rural location
*
Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
*
Calm, resilient and passionate about helping young people thrive
