This role is embedded within the client’s delivery team, you’ll work alongside planning, cost, and PMO professionals to help programmes make better, faster decisions using risk as a live tool.
This is a delivery-focused role where risk plays a central part in how projects are run—not just a reporting function. You’ll take the lead on risk identification, analysis, and management across live projects, working closely with delivery leads, engineers, planners, and commercial teams. From facilitating workshops to running QRAs and maintaining registers, you’ll make sure risks and opportunities are identified early, clearly understood, and effectively acted on. Your input will directly inform planning, governance, assurance, and reporting, keeping programmes resilient, proactive, and on track.

• Develop, maintain, and communicate project and programme-level risk registers
• Facilitate workshops to engage teams and ensure risks are understood and owned
• Feed risk insight into integrated assurance, planning, and cost processes
• Use tools such as ARM, Predict!, Primavera Risk Analysis, or Excel to support delivery
What They’re Looking For
• Experience in risk management within infrastructure, energy, or engineering environments
• Confident using quantitative and qualitative methods (QRA etc.)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Understanding of how risk supports decision-making, not just compliance
• Proactive approach, able to challenge constructively and add value from day one
Why This Role
You’ll join a consultancy that values delivery quality and puts its people at the centre. The programmes are complex and long-term, giving you a real opportunity to influence how risk is managed. You’ll be trusted to do your job well, supported by a collaborative team, and given room to grow your career, whether that’s through training, chartership support, or taking on more responsibility.
Alongside competitive pay, you’ll get a strong benefits package including private healthcare, pension, flexible working and regular salary reviews. The hybrid setup is genuinely flexible, no clock-watching, no micromanagement, just interesting work in a well-run environment that respects your time and contribution.
