Our client, a leading provider of engineering solutions in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join their team in Basingstoke.
Key Responsibilities:
Producing project safety and environmental deliverables, including HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, and waste management plans
Attending safety workshops such as HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, and SIL
Managing and signing off safety actions
Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
Acting as Project Discipline Lead for projects, ensuring timely issuance of deliverables
Providing technical support on HSE matters to other disciplines
Conducting technical reviews of contractor documentation
Job Requirements:
Experience working on energy projects, including oil and gas design projects
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to produce high-quality deliverables on schedule
Knowledge of UK regulations and standards
Experience working to IFC and World Bank standards
Significant experience in safety and environmental engineering
Strong HSE knowledge and ability to prepare high-quality HSE documentation
Ability to critically review the work of others
Experience with site surveys and stakeholder engagement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with multinational FEED projects
Highly collaborative team player, willing to develop and share skills
Qualifications:
Relevant degree or equivalent experience
