Senior Service Advisor
Location: Ipswich
Salary: £32,000 Basic – OTE £40,000
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Service Advisor to join a thriving, customer-focused automotive service department based in Ipswich. As a Senior Service Advisor, you will be the key point of contact between customers and the workshop team, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and efficient service process. You’ll use your expertise to manage bookings, communicate updates, and build strong relationships that encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.

The Role – Senior Service Advisor
As a Senior Service Advisor, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring customers receive the highest level of service from the moment they make an enquiry to when their vehicle is returned. You’ll liaise closely with the workshop and parts teams to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and handle service enquiries in person and over the phone
Book vehicles into the workshop and manage schedules efficiently
Communicate clearly with customers, explaining required work and keeping them updated
Liaise with technicians to monitor progress and ensure timely completion of jobs
Prepare accurate invoices and explain costs to customers at collection
Promote and upsell additional services, maintenance plans, and products
Handle complaints and queries professionally to maintain customer satisfaction
Ensure the reception and service areas are welcoming and well-presented
About You
To succeed as a Senior Service Advisor, you should have previous experience in a Service Advisor or Senior Service Advisor position within the automotive industry. You’ll be organised, confident, and customer-driven, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Service Advisor or Senior Service Advisor
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A friendly, professional, and proactive approach
Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a high-performing team
Strong IT skills and confidence using DMS or booking systems (training provided)
Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of two years
