Job Description
Kennedy Fox Associates are working with a Global business, operating in the field of electro-technology. They manufacture a comprehensive range of products and systems for the thermal management of electrical enclosures, along with liquid cooling and visual signaling devices for security, fire, building, industrial process, disaster warning and hazardous area applications.
They are looking for a Lead Service Engineer.
You’ll take a lead role in servicing, repairing, and commissioning their cooling systems on customer sites. This hands-on role combines engineering expertise with client engagement, offering a route to team leadership as the service division grows. You’ll help establish their in-house workshop and be the go-to technical expert for both existing and future product ranges.
You will need to be based no more than 90 minutes drive away from their HQ in Rotherham and the role will involve monthly UK travel to client sites.
Responsibilities:
* Commissioning, diagnostics, and maintenance of cooling and refrigeration systems
* Provide second-level technical support and issue resolution
* Travel to UK customer sites for installation and service jobs (some overnight stays required)
* Collaborate with sales and product teams to support project delivery and solution selling
* Set up the UK service workshop (tools, layout, best practices)
* Deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing for future hires
* Act as a key technical contact for quality feedback and new product development insights
Requirements:
* F-Gas certified (essential)
* 18th Edition electrical qualification
* Experience working on refrigeration – ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, or electro mechanical systems
* Hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in the field
* Technically credible and able to engage with engineers, plant managers, and OEMs
