Our client is a leading Civil Engineering company delivering utility capital works across a variety of frameworks. Following continued growth and recent contract wins, they are now seeking a Senior SHEQ Advisor to support their delivery teams across a range of power, water, and gas infrastructure projects.

As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will play a vital role in promoting and upholding best-in-class SHEQ standards across the business. This is a great opportunity for a Senior SHEQ Advisor who is hands-on, proactive, and passionate about driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced utilities environment.
Senior SHEQ Advisor Key Essentials:

Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, as Senior SHEQ Advisor you’ll ensure health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across active utility sites
*
Provide operational teams with practical support and guidance to meet contract and business SHEQ objectives
*
Lead and support incident investigations, identifying root causes and ensuring lessons learned are communicated effectively
*
Promote a proactive approach to risk, including RAMS preparation, toolbox talks, SHEQ briefings, and team engagement
*
Assist in developing and implementing ISO-aligned systems and procedures for quality and environmental management
*
Support internal and external audits, produce clear SHEQ performance reports, and act as the point of contact for SHEQ matters
*
Regular travel to sites is expected, engaging directly with delivery teams to improve SHEQ behaviours and results
Senior SHEQ Advisor Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor or Senior SHEQ Advisor within utilities or civil engineering
*
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum), working towards Diploma or equivalent preferred
*
Strong understanding of SHEQ legislation, CDM regulations, and industry best practices
*
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
*
Willingness to travel frequently across a wide area to provide on-site SHEQ support
