Senior Site Manager – The Role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Manager to take full responsibility as the No.1 on site for a brand-new residential development in Blandford Forum.

Reporting to an experienced Contracts Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of a circa 50-unit new build social housing development from site set-up through to completion and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

The successful Senior Site Manager will manage the full site operation including subcontractors, direct labour, programme management, health and safety, quality inspections, client liaison, material deliveries and coordination of all site activities. You will also oversee short-term programming, monitor progress against programme, chair site meetings and ensure NHBC standards and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

This Senior Site Manager position offers the opportunity to become part of a growing contractor with a secure pipeline of future projects and genuine long-term career prospects.

Senior Site Manager – The Person

  * Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or experienced Site Manager operating as the No.1 on new build residential housing developments.

  * Previous experience working for a residential main contractor is preferred.

  * Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering housing developments of at least 30 units.

  * Strong knowledge of new build construction, health and safety, quality control and programme management.

  * Experience managing subcontractors, direct labour and multiple trades on busy construction sites.

  * Confident producing and managing short-term programmes and driving projects to key milestones.

  * Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.

  * Good IT skills and experience using site management software.

  * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.

  * Able to commute daily to Blandford Forum.
