Job Description

Are you a Site Manager with experience delivering stations on Network Rail projects? 
  
Do you have a strong technical civil engineering background and the leadership skills to successfully manage multidisciplinary teams on site? 
  
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading civil engineering contractor on the delivery of a key Access for All rail project in Cornwall. 
  
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile station accessibility scheme, leading site operations from construction through to project completion while working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team. 
  
Location: Lostwithiel, Cornwall 
Rate: £(Apply online only)/day - Umbrella, Inside IR35 
Duration: 12 months 
  
You'll be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you'll lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, oversee temporary works, and ensure the project is delivered on programme and in line with contractual requirements. 
  
Requirements: 
·Proven experience delivering rail and heavy civils projects. 
·Experience managing works under NEC Option A contracts. 
·Strong technical civil engineering knowledge. 
·Previous experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC). 
·Background delivering works including groundworks, reinforced concrete, steelwork and general civil engineering. 
·Good understanding of Network Rail standards and processes. 
·Strong programme management, reporting and quality assurance experience. 
·Good IT skills and experience producing site documentation and reports. 
·NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or Construction. 
·Valid PTS and CSCS cards. 
Desirable 
·SMSTS or SSSTS. 
·Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction. 
·Experience delivering projects valued up to £7 million.
