Job Description
We're working exclusively with a long-established main contractor known for delivering complex, high-quality projects across the science, healthcare, and education sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and collaborative delivery, they are currently delivering multiple projects within the Harwell Science Campus and need a Senior Site Manager to join their team.
The Role:
This is a client-facing role where you'll be expected to represent the contractor in meetings and drive the programme with clarity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as No.1 on site
Attend and lead client meetings - a client-facing presence is key
Oversee site operations, ensuring quality, safety, and programme compliance
Manage and mentor an on-site team including Site Manager support
Use MS Project to manage and report on programme progress
Support the implementation of a new Building Management System (BMS)
Requirements:
SMSTS, First Aid, and relevant CSCS card
Background in trades preferred
Confident communicator and strong with reporting and programme control
Comfortable taking full responsibility for site activities
Previous experience with science, education or similarly complex builds a plus
The Package:
Temp to perm opportunity
Day rate / salary DOE but it is up to £75k
