Job Description
Ridgeway & Co are partnering with a Tier 1 Main Contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the delivery team on a landmark mixed-use development in Cambridge. This is a permanent role on a flagship project valued at over £150m, offering the opportunity to lead and shape one of the region’s most prestigious schemes.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery
*
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and workforce to meet programme milestones and quality standards
*
Oversee site logistics, health & safety compliance, and quality assurance processes
*
Provide regular progress reports, risk updates, and issue escalation to the Project Manager and senior management
*
Chair site meetings, drive collaboration, and contribute to client progress reporting
*
Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and company procedures
*
Mentor and support junior site management staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Requirements:
*
Extensive experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager with a Tier 1 main contractor
*
Proven track record managing large-scale projects, ideally £100m+
*
Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, site management best practices, and health & safety regulations
*
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams
*
Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certificationsBefore You Apply
