Senior Social Worker - Child Protection / Child in Need (CP/CIN)

🕒 Hybrid Working - 3 days office-based | Condensed hours over 4 days considered
Suffolk County Council is currently recruiting experienced Senior Qualified Social Workers (QSWs) to join their Child Protection (CP) / Child in Need (CIN) teams across multiple localities.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive Local Authority offering flexible working arrangements and a choice of teams with varying caseload levels.
Available Teams & Caseloads
Coastal North Social Care Team - Average caseload: 25
Ipswich Locality Team - Average caseload: 25-30
Forest Heath Social Care Team - Average caseload: 30
Haverhill Social Care Team - Average caseload: 30
Stowmarket Team - Average caseload: 40
Key Responsibilities
Completing Child & Family Assessments
Managing Child in Need (CIN) plans and reviews
Chairing and attending CIN meetings
Undertaking Child Protection work
Writing Section 7 reports
Working closely with multi-agency professionals
Ensuring accurate and timely case recording
Working Pattern
3 days per week in the office
Hybrid working model
Condensed hours over 4 days considered
Essential Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years PQE in UK Local Authorities
Social Work England registration
Strong experience in Child Protection and Child in Need
Experience completing assessments and court-related reports (Section 7)
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
