Job Title: Senior Social Worker
Hourly Rate: £33.30
Responsible to: Team Manager
Work Pattern: Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)
Location: Guildhall, Shrewsbury
Key Requirements
Holding CIN/CP/PLO/Court work.
Completing statutory duties including visits and holding core group meetings, attending court and completing parenting assessments and risk assessments.
Case Management / Court Teams Working in the Case Management or Court Teams is a dynamic and exciting opportunity for a Social Worker who enjoys a varied caseload and working with families to ensure that children are safe and happy long term.
Work with families in PLO and court with children who are looked after. In the Court Team, you would have a protected caseload of children subject to proceedings. Families are allocated dependent upon skills and experience, with a wealth of support on offer from the management team and other areas of the service.
Hold a family through to permanence, whether this is a closure, step down to Early Help, adoption or transfer to the Looked After Children teams.
Work with a wide range of partners, building positive relationships which then supports the various interventions you identify for our children and families.
Skills & Experience
A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Committed to supporting children, young people and their families and has the resilience to go that extra mile to ensure they achieve their potential.
Someone who thinks outside the box, is able to challenge and make evidenced based decisions.
UK driving license
Willing to work collaboratively as part of a team in sharing knowledge and supporting team development.
