Its work spans complex superstructures, refurbishments, foundations, basements and bespoke construction-stage engineering, combining rigorous technical standards with practical buildability. As part of your role you will prepare calculations, reports, sketches and coordinated design information while ensuring compliance with standards and internal quality requirements.
The role includes on-site involvement, carrying out or overseeing inspections, structural assessments and temporary-works checks, and providing concise technical support during construction. The Senior Structural Engineer will also mentor junior staff, review work and promote best practice across the team. You will contribute to analysis and modelling using software such as MIDAS, Robot, Oasis, Tekla Structures and Tedds, integrating software outputs with sound engineering judgement. Regular coordination with architects, contractors and clients will be required, offering clear technical advice, value-engineering input and buildability guidance.
Candidates should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and ideally be Chartered or nearing Chartership. They must bring solid experience from an engineering Consultancy environment, demonstrating strong technical competence, the ability to manage multiple projects and confidence in both temporary and permanent works.
