Senior Structural Engineer - Nottingham
Bennett & Game are pleased to be representing a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Civil & Structural team in Nottingham. The practice delivers design and technical excellence across sectors including defence, education, commercial and residential, and promotes a collaborative, progressive culture where professional growth and work-life balance are genuinely supported.
Role Overview
Deliver and oversee structural engineering design from concept through to completion
Lead on multidisciplinary coordination and technical quality across varied building projects
Develop and review design briefs, specifications and reports to meet client expectations
Support the delivery of secure infrastructure, defence and aviation projects
Ensure designs meet regulatory, budgetary and programme requirements
Attend site meetings and contribute to pre-start and project coordination sessions
Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers
Support business development and assist with fee proposals when requiredRequirements
Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (MEng/BEng)
Working towards Chartership (IStructE or ICE) or chartered
Demonstrable experience delivering structural projects up to £10m in value
Proficient in design coordination and project delivery within a consultancy setting
Strong understanding of building construction, Building Regulations and allied legislation
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Eligible for or able to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) due to project natureSalary & Benefits
