Job Description

Senior Structural Engineer
 Are you looking for a Senior Structural Engineer role where you can lead projects, mentor engineers and work on a broad range of building structures across London and the South East?
 This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, medium-sized structural engineering consultancy with a strong reputation and a collaborative working culture.  You will play a key role in leading structural design projects, managing teams and delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of developments.
 
The company’s current projects include:

Large multi-storey reinforced concrete mixed-use developments in London
Major housing and apartment schemes incorporating load-bearing masonry, steel frames and RC transfer structures
Building conversions involving RC frames and masonry structures
Refurbishment projects, including large Victorian properties
Temporary works design
Structural condition surveys
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading structural design and delivery across multiple projects
Managing project teams and mentoring graduate or junior engineers
Designing structures in reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber
Reviewing supplier and specialist contractor drawings
Responding to site queries and technical issues efficiently
Attending client meetings and representing the engineering team on site
Developing and contributing to internal design guides and technical resources
Planning project programmes and ensuring deadlines are met
Maintaining high standards of technical quality and health & safety compliance
The role would suit someone who is Chartered or close to Chartership, with strong structural design experience and the confidence to take ownership of projects while supporting the development of others within the team.
