Job Description
We are seeking a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer with the ability to lead projects and manage a growing team. This is an opportunity to join a long-established, Yorkshire-based consultancy with over three decades of experience delivering Civil, Structural and Geo-Environmental Engineering solutions across the UK. Known for their collaborative culture and client-focused approach, the practice has built a reputation for elegant, efficient design that balances technical excellence with practical constructability.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take responsibility for projects from concept through to completion, overseeing feasibility studies, detailed design, and delivery through all RIBA stages. You will be leading on a variety of schemes, from bespoke residential developments to larger commercial and multi-storey projects, ensuring high standards of technical quality and client satisfaction. Alongside project leadership, you will manage and mentor junior engineers, helping to develop the next generation of talent within the team.
This role offers the chance to step into a supportive, forward-thinking Consultancy where innovation and responsiveness are valued as highly as technical ability. You will be trusted with significant responsibility, given the freedom to lead projects your way, and play a central role in shaping both the delivery of high-profile projects and the development of the team.
To succeed in this position, you will be a Chartered Engineer (IStructE or ICE) with demonstrable experience in leading structural engineering projects. You will combine strong technical and design expertise with proven leadership and communication skills, able to inspire confidence in colleagues, clients and external stakeholders alike.
