Senior Structural Engineer - Liverpool
About the Role
Are you a Chartered or nearly Chartered Structural Engineer looking for a dynamic consultancy opportunity? We're partnering with a well‑established engineering practice offering a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects. You'll be integral from planning stages through to delivery, with wide-ranging responsibility and real project ownership.
What You'll Be Doing
Conduct nationwide structural surveys, producing clear, actionable reports on building condition and structural integrity.
Prepare supporting calculations and sketches; familiarity with Eurocodes and British Standards expected.
Review and interpret site investigation data, identifying and resolving structural challenges.
Deliver structural designs for both refurbishment and new builds, covering foundations and superstructure elements.
Attend and represent the client at design and stakeholder meetings.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering development and teamwork.
Maintain your Continued Professional Development (CPD) under IStructE guidelines.
Stay alert to structural safety updates, including CROSS advisories.
Contribute to business development initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Chartered or near-Chartered status with the Institution of Structural Engineers and/or Institution of Civil Engineers.
BSc/BEng (or equivalent) from an ICE-approved programme.
Proficient in AutoCAD, with knowledge of Tekla or Revit a plus (but not essential).
Clean driving licence and flexible availability for overnight travel

£48,000 - £55,000 DOE
