Job Description

Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential (EBD) Salary: £16/hr | £29,120/year | Sleep-ins: £50 each Hours: 35 per week (including long shifts and sleep-ins)   I am recruiting on behalf of a client for a compassionate and proactive Senior Support Worker to join a children's residential care team supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.   About You and the Role: You'll be a steady and reassuring presence, able to lead care teams with confidence while helping children develop trust, routines, and a sense of belonging. Every day is different, and you'll be at the heart of it-managing routines, supporting behaviour, and being someone the young people can rely on.   Your Key Responsibilities:   ·Lead the shift and delegate responsibilities to care staff ·Ensure every child's care plan is followed consistently ·Manage incidents calmly and follow safeguarding processes ·Provide on-call support where needed (extra pay provided) ·Help young people engage with education, appointments, and social activities ·Work closely with families, social workers, and professionals ·Take part in regular training and staff development ·Support household tasks and promote a clean, safe home   Working Hours:   ·Combination of 8hr and 15hr shifts over a 3-week rota ·Average 35 hours/week ·Rota includes weekends and holidays ·Sleep-ins (11pm-8am) paid at £50 per night   What You'll Bring:   ·Previous residential childcare experience (essential) ·Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Care ·Driving licence ·A calm, consistent approach with strong teamwork skills   Interested?
