Job Description

Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential (EBD) Hours: 35 per week (including long days and sleep-ins) Salary: £16/hour (£29,120 per annum) Sleep-ins: £50 per shift   I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join their children's residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).   Role Overview: This position involves leading care shifts, guiding staff, and helping provide a consistent, structured environment that supports each child's emotional and developmental needs. You'll play a key part in delivering therapeutic and trauma-informed care that supports children to grow in confidence and stability.   Key Duties:   ·Lead daily care routines and ensure effective shift planning ·Respond to incidents and provide on-call support as required ·Build therapeutic relationships with young people ·Implement care plans and behaviour strategies ·Support junior team members and participate in appraisals ·Maintain records and manage petty cash responsibly ·Liaise with families, professionals, and partner agencies ·Support children in their education, health appointments, and activities ·Help with domestic duties and contribute to a homely environment   Shift Info:   ·Combination of 15-hour and 8-hour shifts ·35 hours average per week over a 3-week rota ·Sleep-ins (11pm-8am) on a rota, paid at £50 ·Includes weekends and holidays as part of the rota   Candidate Essentials:   ·Residential childcare experience (EBD preferred) ·NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent) ·Full UK driving licence ·Strong team leadership and decision-making skills ·Calm, confident, and emotionally resilient under pressure   Contact Vicky on (phone number removed) for more details.   Atrium is an equal opportunity employer, and all hiring decisions are subject to international and local employment laws and regulations.
