Senior Systems Administrator | £55,000 to £65,000 | Cambridge, Hybrid Working
We’re hiring on behalf of a tech-driven client based in Cambridge, who is seeking a seasoned Linux and Windows expert. If you're passionate about Systems Administration, thrive in high-performance environments, and want to work with a company that truly values technical excellence, this is the opportunity for you.
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be a key player in managing and optimising Linux and Windows operating systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, and security across a wide array of critical services.
Key Skills:
Strong knowledge of Windows Server systems administration
Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration (Ubuntu, Exim, DoveCot, Samba, Apache2, OpenSSL, PAM, SELinux)
Strong networking skills (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, ports and protocols, routers, bridges, latency, packet loss, firewall rules, VPNs, knowledge of MTUs etc.)
Ability to lead on critical projects
Excellent communication skills
