Senior Systems Engineer | Perm employed
*Due to nature of the work, you will need to either be British or Dual British national
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and support of advanced naval and commercial maritime systems. You’ll work on cutting-edge navigation, communication, and control technologies, ensuring solutions meet the highest industry standards.
The Role
*
Lead design, development, and integration of maritime systems
*
Act as technical authority, guiding engineers and technicians
*
Oversee testing, commissioning, and sea trials (UK & abroad)
*
Collaborate with clients, shipyards, and stakeholders
*
Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, and classification standards
About You
*
Degree in Systems, Electrical/Electronic, or related engineering field
*
7+ years’ systems engineering experience in maritime, defence, or aerospace
*
Strong background in navigation systems, radar, automation, or bridge solutions
*
Skilled in requirements management, system design, testing, and fault resolution
*
Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
Desirable
*
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards it
*
Defence, Royal Navy, or MOD experience
*
Knowledge of cybersecurity and MBSE toolsBefore You Apply
