Senior Requirements Engineer – Defence
Location – Hampshire, Surrey, Gloucester or Devon
Salary – Up to £62,000
Security / Eligibility - To be considered for this role, you must be a sole British citizen and able to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
Copello are looking for a talented Senior Requirements Engineer to support a high-profile defence programme. This role will see you at the centre of critical projects, ensuring requirements are effectively defined, managed, and delivered across complex systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain safety requirements through DOORS
* Break down and control requirements following detailed safety analysis
* Provide accurate reports and updates to senior engineering leadership on the safety requirements process
* Collaborate with subsystem teams, suppliers, and safety specialists to resolve issues and maintain compliance
* Support the completion of gap analyses between formal requirements and assumptions placed on suppliers
Skills & Experience:
* Strong hands-on experience with DOORS or similar requirements management tools
* Solid background in systems engineering across the V-model
* Degree-level qualification in engineering or equivalent industry experience
* Previous involvement in defence or other highly regulated/safety-critical sectors
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skillsBefore You Apply
