Job Description

Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is based at the Warton site with potential hybrid working arrangements to be confirmed. Key Responsibilities: Support Engineering delivery management of the programme to time, cost and scope/quality/performance requirements of the programme (including management of technical risk) Support alignment / integration of technology developments and de-risking activities. Support maintenance of Engineering Statements of Work across a variety of disciplines and stakeholders. Delivery Technical Management & Integration tasks/sub-tasks appropriate to the needs of the programme Work with Technical teams to deliver robust technical management of the Technology portfolio: Support management of UK 'Lead Sub-System Integrators' (Major suppliers: Rolls-Royce, Leonardo and MBDA) - supporting appropriate review of their activities, to ensure proper direction and guidance. Support deployment of engineering governance activities within Technology Support deployment Engineering Lifecycle Management through the Technology Programme (e.g. applying design review gates to demonstrator life-cycles) in line with programme frameworks) Support appropriate review and approval of any Technology led technical proposals through the company required approvals, and ensuring suitable clearance of partner proposals (and support to same as required for programme level activities) Engineering Integration is the discipline that manages:- The integration of the component parts of a product or system into a cohesive, effective whole Applying the Systems Engineering approaches across the engineering disciplines to define the customer needs and the required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete problem. Applying systems engineering methods, criteria and techniques to optimise all aspects of safety throughout the lifecycle. Translates customer requirements into a practicable solution architecture and partitions this into lower level requirements / specifications Ensure that the resulting solution meets the customer requirements and is properly designed, certified, and controlled." Job Requirements: 5+ years experience in an engineering integration environment Experience of the engineering functional approaches, processes and activities Use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) Good communicator at all levels of an organisation Can work effectively in teams but is also able to be self-starting and pro-active.
