Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our clients Finance team. In this key role, you’ll help manage corporate tax matters, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, oversee external reporting, and support tax planning and forecasting activities.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare tax computations and ensure timely submission to tax authorities
* Respond to correspondence and liaise with HMRC or relevant tax bodies
* Support external audit process by agreeing tax charges and providing required documentation
* Contribute to external regulatory returns and financial reports
* Monitor and maintain accurate tax balances across the group
* Identify and implement opportunities to optimise tax positions and minimise liabilities
* Provide guidance on capital allowances and tax planning strategies
* Forecast tax liabilities and contribute to financial modelling and board reporting
* Review and enhance tax compliance processes and tools
What we’re looking for:
* Chartered Tax Adviser qualification or equivalent experience
* Strong knowledge of corporate tax and relevant legislation
* Proficiency with finance systems and advanced spreadsheet skills
* Analytical mindset and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage workload independently and effectively prioritise tasks
