Description
Location: London / Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. We support hybrid working, typically we expect our people to be either in the office, or with clients 60% of their working week.
Introduction
Following our recent partnership with Steer and to support our future growth plans, we are looking to strengthen our team with the appointment of an experienced Project / Corporate Finance professional.
This role will be crucial in securing new transaction mandates, leading teams in project delivery, and enhancing the technical skills of junior members of the team.
Responsibilities
As a transaction lead, you will:
*
Win and deliver Financial Advisory and transaction mandates (including greenfield financings, refinancings, and M&A across Infrastructure, Renewable Energy and Energy Transition assets).
*
Lead day-to-day advisory support to clients, including drafting materials (Teasers, Information Memorandums), running funding competitions, coordinating advisors, and closing debt and equity transactions.
*
Manage multiple projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction.
*
Support business development by identifying new sectors, clients and markets, while sharing market insights and mentoring junior colleagues.
*
Contribute to team culture by role-modelling company values, supporting wellbeing, and collaborating across teams and with colleagues at Steer.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is:
*
Ambitious and passionate about infrastructure and decarbonisation investment, with strong commercial acumen.
*
Skilled in communication, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
*
Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
*
Adaptable, collaborative, and confident in using initiative to make decisions under pressure.
Qualifications and Experience:
*
Degree in business administration, finance, economics, engineering, law, or related field (MBA/MSc/MA desirable).
*
Significant experience in corporate finance, project finance, or financial advisory in Infrastructure, Renewables or Energy Transition.
*
Proven track record in leading transactions and managing complex projects, including financial modelling, due diligence, risk analysis, and stakeholder management.
*
Strong client-facing experience and expert user of Microsoft Office.
