Job Description

Are you an experienced Service Advisor seeking a new opportunity with a reputable employer in Swindon? Our client, a well-established, family-run motor retail group and an AM Award Dealer Group of the Year winner, is looking to recruit a professional and motivated Vehicle Service Advisor to join their busy Service Department.

Benefits:

Starting salary around £30,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
OTE of £42,000+ per year, inclusive of a performance-related bonus scheme and overtime

Greet customers and book vehicles in for service or repair work
Advise customers on vehicle issues, providing technical guidance where necessary
Liaise closely with the workshop team, chasing work in progress and updating customers regularly
Upsell additional services and products where appropriate
Take payments for completed work and process transactions efficiently
Promote service plans and warranty options to maximise sales
Maintain high standards of customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
Work alongside colleagues to meet departmental targets and deliver a first-class customer experienceRequirements of a Service Advisor:

Minimum of two years’ experience as a Service Advisor or similar within the motor trade
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to influence customer decisions and upsell services effectively
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic procedures, with experience in warranty work highly advantageous (though not essential)
Proficiency in IT systems; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop DMS is beneficial but not mandatory
Organised with excellent time management skills
