Service Advisor – Ipswich (Main Dealership)
Salary
£28,000 basic per annum, plus strong potential for additional earnings (OTE up to ~£35,000).
Hours
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 18:00. No weekends.
About the Role
We are seeking a Service Advisor to join a thriving main dealership in Ipswich. As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between customers and the workshop, ensuring every visit is handled smoothly and professionally. This Service Advisor role offers the opportunity to work with a respected brand and deliver outstanding customer care.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers into the service department in your role as Service Advisor.
Accurately record vehicle details and customer requests as a Service Advisor.
Liaise with the Service Manager and workshop team, ensuring Service Advisor duties are carried out effectively.
Keep customers informed about progress, costs, and additional work required – a key part of any Service Advisor position.
Prepare invoices and process payments as an experienced Service Advisor.
Handle queries and complaints promptly, using your Service Advisor skills to maintain satisfaction.
Work closely with the Parts Department to fulfil Service Advisor responsibilities.
Promote additional services to customers, showcasing your proactive Service Advisor approach.
Maintain accurate records and job cards in line with the standards expected of a professional Service Advisor.Requirements
Proven experience as a Service Advisor in a main dealership or busy workshop.
Exceptional communication and customer service skills suited to a Service Advisor role.
Strong organisational skills with the attention to detail every Service Advisor needs.
Confidence in using dealership systems and Microsoft Office, essential for a Service Advisor.Benefits
