Client Summary:
A leading, global manufacturer of heavy plant and equipment, known for its innovation and reliability in construction and earthworks.
Position Summary:
Service Controller - playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of service and maintenance delivery. Acting as the central point of contact between customers, field engineers, and internal departments.
Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring service activities to meet customer expectations and contractual obligations.
Duties include but not limited to :
- Optimise engineers' schedules to maximise productivity
- Check and approve all incoming service reports and maintain accurate records of service activities, engineer performance and customer feedback.
- Provide report for Senior Management Team. Carry out weekly update calls on service activities with SMT and Sales Team.
- Ensure all service activities comply with general H&S regulations, site specific regulations, including RAMS
- Act as the first point of contact for service-related queries, providing updates and proactively follow up with key customers.
- Schedule internal and external workloads incl. PDI work
- Provide technical support for service-related queries and identify and advise on required solution
- Monitor and manage incoming service requests for National Accounts
- Order and monitor parts and delivery in line with all jobs booked via SAP system.
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in a service controller or similar customer facing role in the construction or automotive or similar industry
- 5 years team supervisory experience
- Technical Experience with plant / off road machinery
- Ability to read technical documentation, drawings and Electronic Parts Catalogues
- Microsoft Office skills essential
- SAP preferred
