Job Description

YT Technologies are working on behalf of our client in Brighton looking for a service engineer to support, install and repair electro-mechanical equipment for customers across the UK and internationally. A UK driving license is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Provide first-line technical support via phone, email and site visits

  * 

    Diagnose, repair and service instruments within agreed turnaround times

  * 

    Install systems and deliver customer training

  * 

    Maintain accurate service reports and customer records

  * 

    Assist with product testing and occasional instrument builds

  * 

    Promote service contracts and parts

  * 

    Travel within the UK and overseas as required

Requirements

  * 

    Proven experience in an electro-mechanical environment

  * 

    HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline

  * 

    Strong practical skills: fault-finding, wiring, soldering, use of test tools

  * 

    Ability to interpret technical drawings

  * 

    Good communication and customer-facing skills

  * 

    Computer literate (MS Office)

  * 

    Full UK driving licence and valid passport

  * 

    Able to lift and handle equipment when required

  * 

    Experience using hand tools

  * 

    Ability to fit complex systems

  * 

    Ability to prepare cables, fit sleeve and solder and or crimp joints.
