Service Engineer (International Travel)
Location: Dungannon, County Tyrone, N.Ireland
Salary: £40k basic - £60k-£70k OTE
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install and commission ground support equipment.
Maintain and service product range.
Fix any problems that are within warranty.
Report any warranty issues back to office.
Provide supervisory and technical support to colleagues and communicate with staff at all levels.
Ensure that guidelines and standards of work expected are understood and met.
Ensure that follow-up work requirements are referred back to the appropriate staff to enable necessary action and recommendations to clients.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times, consistent with client and company expectations, and in doing so help to promote the image of the company.
Set a good example to colleagues by observing and obeying all company rules and regulations, complying with all site regulations and safeguarding company property.
Complete all necessary documentation promptly and in accordance with guidelines or schedules issued (including time sheets, staff expense claims and site reports.).
Attend all training courses and meetings as required.
Provide support to management and colleagues.
Observe and adhere to company health & safety guidelines contributing to a healthy and safe working environment.
Adherence to ISO 9001 quality management system.
Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and tidy works area.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven technical competence and experience with equipment maintenance.
The ability to read and interpret technical documents such as engineering documents, operation and maintenance instructions.
Previous experience of working within a service organisation.
Relevant industry experience and ability to learn new systems.
Has proven literacy and numeracy skills.
Qualified in an engineering or IT discipline, or hands on engineering experience in electro-mechanical engineering.
Able to communicate problems/issues with all team members.
Ability to work on your own or as part of their team.
Ability to adjust to change.
Ability to fault find, trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve issues.
Comply with quality regulations & standards.
Clean current driving licence.
