Job Description
SERVICE ENGINEER / COMMISSIONING ENGINEER
We are recruiting for Service Engineer to work for our client who are in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
SERVICE ENGINEER DUTIES:
• Mechanical fitting and assembly of mechanical components
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Welding experience
• Experience working with Conveyors / Motors / Gearboxes
• Pneumatics / Hydraulics
• Preventative and reactive maintenance on all machinery
• Ensure that the plant and equipment runs safely and efficiently at all times with the aim of minimising downtime
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
• Time Served Apprentice Trained in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical engineering
• Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings
• Ideally from a machinery / process machinery assembly background
• Experience of field service work, on-site installations would be desirable
• Electrical / PLC programming / Cabinet wiring would be an advantage
• Pneumatic circuit design would be an advantage
• Happy to travel overseas
THE HOURS:
Working away is as and when required – 6/8 days a month max. (12 hour days – Including travel)
Days (Workshop Based): Monday – Thursday: 7am – 4pm
Friday: 7am – 12pm
THE PAY:
You will earn an hourly rate between £18 - £19 depending on skill level. Plus, a £500 bonus per year and a £100 tool allowance.
Working away allowance £35/ Night.
Company vehicle provided and Travel time paid.
