Service Engineer
Location: Gainsborough (must live within commutable distance)
Salary: Negotiable DOE £30£35K PA + Company Vehicle + Great Perks
Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves variety, autonomy, and fixing things properly the first time? We're on the hunt for a Service Engineer to join a dynamic, fast-paced engineering company in Gainsborough-someone who's just as comfortable turning a spanner as they are reading a schematic!
As our new Service Engineer, you'll hit the ground running-collecting jobs, parts, and tooling directly from our Gainsborough base before heading out to tackle breakdowns, carry out planned maintenance, and install equipment with confidence and a can-do attitude.
🔧 What You'll Be Doing:
Acting as a Service Engineer on the road-solving issues on customer sites across the region
Working on a mix of mechanical and electrical tasks (roughly 70/30 split)
Repairing and maintaining electric motors, generators, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
Using your skills on manual lathes, millers, grinders-and the occasional bit of CNC
HV/LV testing, diagnostics, and retrofitting where needed
Being the friendly, technically sharp face of the business out in the field🔧 What We're Looking For:
A multi-skilled engineer with strong mechanical bias (but can handle electrics too!)
Proven experience in industrial maintenance or service engineering
Comfortable working solo and managing your own workload
Full UK driving licence is a must
Lives within commuting distance of Gainsborough-you'll start your day from our site
