Job Description

Domus are on the lookout for a Service Manager to take full operational responsibility for a specialist residential or rehabilitation service for Adults with Acquired Brain Injury. This is a leadership role that requires strategic thinking, outstanding team management, and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. As Service Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional outcomes for the people we support. You'll be responsible for service delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, staff performance, and the ongoing development of the service. Key Responsibilities of a Service Manager: Provide strong professional leadership and hands-on management of the service. Lead, manage, and support a multidisciplinary team to achieve service excellence. Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, legislative, and contractual requirements. Oversee recruitment, training, and staff development. Manage budgets and ensure efficient financial operations across the service. Drive quality improvement, customer responsiveness, and person-centred care. Develop and implement business plans to support service growth and development. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including commissioners, families, and healthcare professionals. Participate in out-of-hours on-call management as required Key requirements a Service Manager must have: Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. Proven experience in managing a residential or rehabilitation service. Skilled in staff management, supervision, and performance improvement. Confident in handling HR processes, including disciplinary and grievance procedures. Competent in managing budgets and financial reporting. Able to work flexibly, including unsocial hours if required. Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
