Setting Out Engineer – Residential Groundworks
Location: Huntingdon (with travel across sites)
Salary: Up to £45,000 plus mileage, bonus, pension
Holiday: 23 days of annual leave

What You Will Do
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency across multiple sites. Your responsibilities will include:
* Checking and using the latest drawings and details for site operations
* Liaising with contracts managers, foremen, and client engineers to resolve discrepancies
* Maintaining and calibrating instruments to ensure accuracy
* Keeping detailed records and paperwork for future reference
* Monitoring site progress and allocating resources effectively
* Building strong relationships with client engineers and site teams
* Supporting health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and method statements
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced engineer with:
* Background in housing and infrastructure projects
* Proven setting out experience in residential groundworks (roads and sewers)
* Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously
* Strong AutoCAD knowledge and numerical reasoning skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Highly organised, accurate, and self‑motivated approach
