Sewing Machinist

Location: Huddersfield

Duration: Temporary to permanent

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am - 3:30pm (30 mins for lunch and 2 x 10mins breaks during the day)

Pay: £12.71p/h

Contract Type: Temporary, will lead to permanent role for right candidates after probation period 

Stafflex are looking for a Sewing machinist to join our client, a leading manufacturer of pre-school, nursery, and primary school educational products.

The Job:

As a Sewing Machinist, you will be a crucial part of manufacturing. You will use industrial sewing machines and overlockers to complete the tasks. The products you would be involved in making are (but are not limited to):

Aprons
Tabards
Overalls
Tablecloths
Special Needs Soft Play
Soft Furniture and Cushions
Play mats
Vinyl BackdropsExperience with industrial sewing machines and overlockers is desirable, but full training will be provided. Knowledge of domestic sewing is also advantageous.
