O'Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 Main Contractor who are looking to add an experienced SHE Advisor to their team. As a SHE Advisor, you’ll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where fresh ideas are encouraged and your voice is genuinely valued. You'll have the autonomy to drive change and the support of a diverse team committed to delivering excellence on major projects in Suffolk.
The role:
Act as a trusted advisor on all SHE matters, guiding and supporting project teams across multiple sites.
Carry out site visits, audits, and behavioural observations, identifying potential risks and promoting a proactive safety culture.
Lead or assist with incident investigations, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and meaningful outcomes.
Engage early with design and bid teams to embed SHE thinking into the foundations of every project.
Work closely with supply chain partners to uphold and implement company SHE expectations and standards.
Review and support risk assessments and RAMs, providing practical, safety-focused input.
Share learnings, innovations, and best practice across the business to help drive continual improvement.
The Candidate:
Minimum NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent SHE qualification)
Solid experience in a construction SHE role within a Tier 1 contractor environment
Strong working knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and ability to work independently across multiple sites
Full UK driving licence
