Castle Employment Group is proud to be working in partnership with a respected organisation in North Yorkshire to recruit an experienced and proactive SHE Manager.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, providing operational support and leadership on SHE matters. With a strong presence across the organisation, this role balances operational engagement with objective guidance, promoting a robust safety culture and regulatory excellence.
The successful SHE Manager will be responsible for:
Maintaining relevant accreditations and ensuring legal compliance across SHE operations.
Managing and mentoring SHE Advisors, fostering professional growth and consistency.
Building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation to promote SHE awareness.
Conducting structured site and factory visits in accordance with established procedures.
Leading investigations into incidents, identifying root causes, and overseeing corrective actions.
Preparing detailed monthly reports for senior leadership and SHE stakeholders.
Monitoring safety performance metrics to identify opportunities for development and improvement.
Delivering educational initiatives to embed SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) principles across teams.
We’re looking for a SHE Manager who has:
NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health
IEMA qualification in Environmental Management.
Certification and experience in ISO auditing.
At least 5 years' experience in a SHE-focused role, including 3 years in a management capacity (preferred).
Background in heavy manufacturing is highly desirable.
Strong behavioural safety experience, with the ability to influence, engage, and support cultural change.
A curious, proactive mindset and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong internal relationships
This SHE Manager role offers an attractive salary up to £60,000 and is a full-time role working Monday – Friday with an early finish on a Friday.
