Sheet Metal Fabricator
Kidderminster
Up to £36,000 P/a
SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our established manufacturing client, this role is based within an established Production department; therefore, a strong team player attitude is essential.
Summary of Job:
- To undertake fabrication duties, as required, in accordance with the company quality standards and best engineering working practices
- To undertake activities in a timely and efficient manner in order to maintain company contractual delivery requirements
- To assist, where required, in peripheral activities, e.g. assembly, packing, etc.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Shall be fully committed to the achievement of the company policies and objectives with attention to quality and safety
- Responsible for carrying out duties in a safe, timely, economic and effective manner
- To ensure that the workshop is adequately equipped, and machinery and tools are well maintained through a planned maintenance schedule/safe to use
- To ensure, where appropriate, that they are adequately trained and fully competent to be able to carry out work delegated to them, in line with required quality and safety standards
- Responsible for the maintenance and good housekeeping of the working area
- To make recommendations, where appropriate, for improvements to existing working practices
- To make recommendations for renewal/replacement of plant and equipment
- Ensure production consumables are maintained at an adequate level
- Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times; this applies to internal and visiting personnel
- Demonstrate a flexible and positive approach to duties, which may be require from time to time
- Undertake reasonable instructions and tasks from senior personnel, commensurate with the nature of the job and in the best interests of the company
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Must be a competent (non-coded) T.I.G welder of sheet steels (essential)
- Experience of working from engineering drawings
- Must be a competent stainless steel sheet metal worker
- Must be competent at using fabrication equipment, such as press brakes and guillotine
- Minimum GCSE Grade 4 or higher (Equivalent Grade C) in Maths & English is preferable but not essentialBefore You Apply
