Sheet Metal Worker
Coventry
£23.95 per hour
Shift Pattern:
*
Until 31st December 2025: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am – 11:00am
*
From 1st January 2026: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 3:30pm (4-day working week, Fridays off!)
Role Purpose
We’re looking for experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join a high-end automotive and engineering manufacturer producing precision-formed components to exacting quality standards. This is hands-on, skilled work in a fast-paced environment — ideal for someone who enjoys working to fine tolerances and takes real pride in craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manufacture and finish precision sheet-metal components and assemblies
*
Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications
*
Shape, form, and assemble metal parts using hand and power tools
*
Carry out TIG welding, bonding, and riveting where required
*
Use general sheet-metal machinery (guillotines, pan-benders, grinders, etc.)
*
Ensure all work meets customer and quality system requirements
*
Work collaboratively with inspection and fitting teams to maintain high standards
Requirements
*
Time-served Sheet Metal Worker or equivalent experience in precision fabrication
*
Strong practical knowledge of hand forming, TIG welding, and fitting techniques
*
Ability to work to tight tolerances from engineering drawings
*
Understanding of quality processes and attention to detail
*
Positive attitude, reliability, and teamworkBefore You Apply
