Job Description
We have a new opportunity for a skilled Sheet Metal worker to join a well-established company based in the Burnley area. As part of the production team, you will play a crucial role in fabricating various stainless steel and mild steel products.
Responsibilities
* Perform MIG/TIG welding on various metal components, ensuring high-quality standards, mainly TIG work.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
* Using various stainless steel and mild steel products in 1.2mm to 3mm sheet thickness.
* Also operating general sheet metal hand tools and various machines.
* Operating welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment while following health and safety guidelines.
Experience required
* Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
* Relevant welding qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential.
Benefits / Hours
* Hourly rate: £17.00 (£34,476 per Annum) + overtime available paid at time & a half
* Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm & Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm (39 hours per week)
