Job Description
A large and well established manufacturing company located in Colchester, Essex are currently recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker on a temporary - permanent basis.
This role is paying between £12.80 - £13.20 per hour, depending on experience.
Working hours:
Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm
Duties in the role:
As a Sheet Metal worker, you will be using spinning machines
Reading from technical drawings where required
Measuring and cutting materials to size using hand & power tools
Operating of welding machines for joining sheet metal parts
Perform quality checks on the finished products to ensure they meet the required standards
Work closely with engineers and fabricators across the site
Operating Rollers in the fabrication department
Candidate requirements:
Diploma, apprenticeship or NVQ in engineering or similar
Must be able to read from technical drawings
Will have used fabrication equipment such as rollers and spinning machines
Experience working on welding machines is beneficial
Background using various hand/power tools and fabrication machinery is needed
