Derby
£17 - £17.50 per hour + shift allowance
OTE Inc shift allowance = £18.50 - £20 per hour
Morning & Afternoons rotating OR Days (4 days per week)

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for several Sheet Metal Workers to join a precision engineering company located in Derby, working on a permanent basis.
We are working with a reputable engineering company located in Derby, which is a globally recognised, market-leading precision engineering/manufacturing business that supports world-renowned industry leaders, predominantly within the Aerospace sector.
Working on small to medium sized sub assembly components, this opportunity presents an exciting challenge for those looking to work on safety critical, complex components for highly regulated industry markets.

Your responsibilities include:
* Working primarily with aluminium and various grades of steel, performing various Sheet Metal / Fabrication duties
* Carrying out techniques such as deburring, drilling, countersinking, and forming
* Reshape metal materials using hand tools and other equipment, including stretch forming, brake presses, and pipe bending machines.
* Inspecting components to meet customer specifications using manual measuring equipment
* Working to tight tolerances using thin-gauge materials
* Reading and working off complex engineering drawings
Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:
* Strong Sheet Metal Working background, having worked within precision engineering industries including: aerospace, automotive, motorsport, rail, medical, FMCG, and general engineering
* Capable of working with thin gauge materials from 0.8 - 2mm
* Ability to perform rolling, forming, bending, cutting, shaping, pressing
* Use of press brakes, guillotines, and punch presses
* Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawing
***TIG welding thin-gauge aluminium experience would be advantageous but not essential***
